摘要: The amenability to genetics of Drosophila melanogaster has made this organism one the best-suited models for studying neurobiology pheromone-guided behavior. Single-male assays use minigene encoding thermosensitive channel dTrpA1 activate neurons expressing fruitless (fru), a major courtship regulator gene, and thereby induce most elementary acts in solitary male exposed temperature increase. Tethered allow Ca(2+)-imaging neuronal activities fly displaying behavior on treadmill when stimulated with female or pheromones. Here we describe technical details these assays.
