Protection by Pentoxifylline of Diazinon-Induced Toxic Stress in Rat Liver and Muscle

摘要: ABSTRACTThe effects of diazinon, pentoxifylline, and their combination therapy on plasma glucose, the key enzymes glycogenolysis gluconeogenesis, oxidative stress were studied in rat liver muscle. Oxidative was determined by measuring concentration lipid peroxides assessing total antioxidant capacity. Diazinon (60 mg/kg) pentoxifylline (100 administrated gavage. Administration diazinon increased blood hepatic glycogen phosphorylase (GP), phosphoenol pyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) 160.65%, 117.2%, 93.5%, respectively, while it decreased cholinesterase (ChE) 53.82%.
