摘要: Aiming toward the rectification of fiber grade PET waste accumulation as well recycling and providing a technically viable route leading to preservation natural resources environment, post consumed polyester clothes were chemically recycled. Post recycled into bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) monomer in presence ethylene glycol depolymerising agent zinc acetate catalyst. Depolymerized product was characterized by chemical analytical techniques. The eventually converted BHET with nearly 90% yield employing 1% catalyst concentration at optimum temperature 180°C without mechanical input stirring condition.
