Research and methodology in healthcare interpreting

摘要: This paper reviews the evolution and main strands of research on interpreting in health care, one most important domains inter - preting community. The diverse body literature generated since about 1970s is first described with regard to different disciplinary perspectives then surveyed terms thematic orientations, including a focus product, interpreter performance, communicative practices, provision care. A number examples are cited illustrate both breadth content variety methods used. latter discussed from an overall perspective some broad methodological distinctions choices.
