摘要: The purpose of this study is to provide reference data about estimating dental age from third molars the western Chinese population for comparing with other populations and being applied estimation juveniles adolescents. A total 2078 digital panoramic radiographs 989 male 1089 female subjects aged between 5 23 years were examined. mineralization status was assessed using formation stages described by Demirjian et al. two modifications. results showed that development in likely begin at both males females. 28 48 significantly higher frequency females than males. 18 stage 1, 38 G, H older average Demirjian's C D could be used as a determine dichotomously whether more under or above 14 16, respectively.
