The Differential Antiviral Activities of Chicken Interferon α (ChIFN-α) and ChIFN-β are Related to Distinct Interferon-Stimulated Gene Expression

摘要: Chicken interferon α (ChIFN-α) and ChIFN-β are type I IFNs that important antiviral cytokines in the innate immune system. In present study, we identified virus-induced expression of ChIFN-α chicken fibroblast DF-1 cells systematically evaluated activities recombinant by cytopathic-effect (CPE) inhibition assays. We found exhibited stronger activity than terms inhibiting replication vesicular stomatitis virus, Newcastle disease virus avian influenza respectively. To elucidate mechanism differential between two ChIFNs, measured relative mRNA levels IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs) IFN-treated real-time PCR. displayed greater induction potency on several ISGs encoding proteins MHC-I, whereas was less potent for inducing involved signaling pathways. conclusion, presented various sets ISGs, is likely attributed to downstream ISGs.
