摘要: Summary Abnormal immunological responses to certain microbial agents may play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of Kawasaki disease (KD). The association studies between histo-blood group genes (Lewis and ABO blood types) various types infectious diseases or vasculopathy have been carried out based on fact that glycosylated antigens could directly mediate infections. We attempted clarify type development KD coronary artery lesions patients. subjects included 164 patients enrolled from 1998 2003 (1st group), 232 2004 2009 (2nd 223 healthy children 118 with growth hormone deficiency as controls. genotyping FUT2 FUT3 genes, genotypes, was determined TaqMan SNP assay allele-specific polymerase chain reaction. No significant differences were observed genotypes allele frequencies groups. frequency BB genotype significantly higher 1st 2nd groups than controls (17% 14% vs. 5%, P = 0.0020). This is first report investigate roles Lewis KD, formation These data suggest
