摘要: BACKGROUND: Spontaneous reductions are a possible cause of the increased morbidity in IVF singletons. The aim this study was to assess incidence ra tes spontaneous IVF/ICSI twin pregnancies and compare short- long-term survivors vanishing co-twin with sing letons born twins. METHODS: We identified 642 co-twin, 5237 singleto ns from single gestations 3678 twins gestations. All children originated detected by transvaginal sonography gestational week 8. By crosslinkage national registries main endpoints were prematurity, birth weight, neurological sequelae mortality. RESULTS: Of all singletons born, 10.4% gestation early pregnancy. Multiple logistic regression analyses adjusted for maternal age, parity ICSI treatment showed weight 8 weeks gestation. found no excess risk sequ elae versus singleton cohort; however, OR cerebral palsy 1.9 (95% CI 0.7–5.2). Furthermore, we observed correlation between onset reduction, i.e. later pregnancy higher ( r = –0.09; P 0.02). Adjusted child death within follow-up period 3.6 1.7–7.6) survivor cohort. CONCLUSIONS: One 10 originates that occur at >8 one causes adverse obstetric outcome
