摘要: Abstract MiR-34a is a direct transcriptional target of p53, which induces cell cycle arrest, senescence, and apoptosis. Recently, we others identified abnormal expression miR-34a in laryngeal squamous carcinoma (LSCC). The aim our present study was to investigate the contribution promoter methylation LSCC. Bisulfite pyrosequencing technology applied measure DNA levels six CpG sites from 104 LSCC tumor tissues their corresponding adjacent tissues. Our results showed that were significantly higher cancer compared with (adjusted P = 5.05E − 10). A breakdown analysis for cigarette smoking behavior indicated elevated tendency level patients but not without (Smoking: Tumor vs Normal, adjusted P = 3.12E − 9; Non-smoking: P = 0.073). In addition, frequency remarkably increased advanced stage P = 0.003) T classified tumors P = 0.015). Moreover, significant association hypermethylation lymph metastasis observed P = 0.002). Meanwhile, Kaplan-Meier survival curves high associated poor overall (log-rank test, P = 0.023). revealed risk factor LSCC, played critical role disease progression metastasis, could serve as prognostic
