Platinum/manganese oxide nanocomposites as water-oxidizing catalysts: New findings and current controversies

摘要: Abstract Herein we consider the role of platinum nanoparticles on water-oxidation catalyzed by manganese oxide. The nanocomposites were synthesized two different methods and characterized scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry, high resolution transmission X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy. Then, water-oxidizing activities these composites in presence cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate as a non-oxo transfer oxidant studied. We compare with other previously reported Mn oxides also discuss important factors influencing oxides.
