摘要: Bacterial soft rots are a serious limitation to the production of orchids and other horticultural plants. Here, characterization causative bacteria isolated from Phalaenopsis showing symptoms, commercial site, is reported. The most commonly were identified as Dickeya spp. Partial sequencing 16S rDNA, fliC dnaX showed diversity among isolates divided into two groups, with greatest similarity previously reported undefined lineages (UDL-3 UDL-4). Two (B16, S1) sequenced using next-generation sequencing, which has provided draft genomes these for further studies (Alic et al., 2015). Newly developed fliC-based lineage-specific quantitative real-time PCR assays used distinguish assess their relative abundances in diseased tissues. Virulence aggressiveness comparison tests in vivo on orchids, potato plants witloof chicory leaves indicated high virulence extreme maceration potential novel isolates, compared reference panel Pantoea cypripedii (formerly Pectobacterium cypripedii), been rot pathogen was not detected, obtained culture collections did cause symptoms artificially infected orchids.
