摘要: Fluid velocity has the potential to cause severe erosion damage oil & gas production infrastructure. In order avoid or alleviate due erosion, American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice (API RP) 14E recommends a threshold fluid for tubing and pipelines. However, field laboratory data have proven that applied empirical constants, known as C-factors, within formula are not valid all conditions. many cases calculated API RP erosional is significantly underestimated overestimated insufficient consideration of characteristics. addition, accurate on can assist proper pipe sizing calculations prospective oilfield projects. Oversizing unnecessarily increases construction costs whilst underestimating required size tubulars lead catastrophic erosion/corrosion failures. this study new values beyond those suggested by 14E, proposed based experimental achieved from sidestream pilot test units. The units were installed four different condensate fields in south Iran. Electrical Resistance (ER) probes employed gather online erosion-corrosion units, each which was service about nine months. results showed higher C-factors be safely these comparison with recommended 14E. Furthermore, it revealed exposed Condensate Gas Ratio (CGR) experienced greater rate erosion.
