Monitoring land ecosystems using the NOAA Global Vegetation Index data set

摘要: Abstract The Global Vegetation Index (GVI) data set produced by NOAA from Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer measurements for 1985–1988 was used to derive the temporal variability of surface characteristics diverse ecosystems over globe. GVI were screened residual cloud contamination and haze. viewing geometry restricted within 25° nadir. results are demonstrated using monthly means satellite derived parameters spatially averaged 250 km × km. Phenology land as manifested albedo, greenness temperature is analyzed. A color-composite technique mapping global introduced.
