摘要: Abstract Cecropin B (CB) is a very efficient antimicrobial agent against Xylella fastidiosa . CB activity decreased after incubation with xylem fluid from Vitis vinifera cv. Chardonnay. SDS-PAGE demonstrated the existence of protein(s) in V. Chardonnay that interact and inhibit activity. The was dependent on time colony size X. colonies periwinkle wilt medium plus (PW + ), chemically defined media (3G10-R CHARD2) showed different patterns number these media. After 1 h 10 μM CB, only large-sized were observed three These results suggested most bacterial cells or small aggregates suspension killed by CB. Aggregation may serve as mechanism protection
