摘要: L1, or LINE-1, is a repetitive DNA family found in all mammalian genomes that have been examined. At least few individual members of the L1 are functional transposable elements. Expression these active elements leads to new insertions into genomic by process retrotransposition. We detected coexpression full-length, sense-strand RNA transcripts and L1-encoded protein mouse embryonal carcinoma cell lines. Both expression products candidates for intermediates retrotransposition process. what appear be cytoplasmic aggregates not localized any known organelles. The six lines tested were chosen represent commitment different developmental pathways early embryogenesis. only two express unique among they strong predilection differentiate extraembryonic endoderm.
