摘要: In this paper, a dielectric slab with periodic implantation of the air gaps has been analyzed. An effective permittivity 1-D photonic bandgap substrate material (PBG material) host as Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) computed at 600 GHz. Based on extracted permittivity, rectangular microstrip patch antennas thin and thick 2-D PBG have designed. The electrical performances simulated by using two different simulators, CST Microwave Studio based finite integral technique Ansoft HFSS element method. This proposed antenna shows significant enhancement in directivity. To validate homogenized medium approximation, effect position observed. response found to be independent its position.
