摘要: In this study, we designed and synthesized a highly stable manganese (Mn2+)-based hepatobiliary complex by tethering an ethoxybenzyl (EOB) moiety with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) coordination cage as alternative to the well-established gadolinium (Gd3+) chelates evaluated its usage T1 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent (CA). This new exhibits higher r1 relaxivity (2.3 mM-1 s-1) than clinically approved Mn2+-based Mn-DPDP (1.6 at 1.5 T. Mn-EDTA-EOB shows much kinetic inertness that of Gd3+-based MRI CAs, such Gd-DTPA-EOB Gd-BOPTA. addition, in vivo biodistribution enhancement patterns Mn2+ chelate are comparable those CAs. The diagnostic efficacy was demonstrated enhanced tumor detection sensitivity liver cancer model using MRI.
