摘要: Background Family-centred care (FCC) is a widely used model in paediatrics, and felt instinctively to be the best way provide children hospital. However, its effectiveness has not been measured. Objectives The primary objective of this review was assess effects family-centred models for hospitalised when compared standard or professionally-centred care, on child, family health service outcomes. Search methods We searched: MEDLINE (1966 February 2004); Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), (The Library, Issue 2, CINAHL (1982 PsycINFO (1972 ERIC Sociological Abstracts (1963 Social Work (1977 AMI (Australasian Medical Index) 2004). Selection criteria We searched randomised controlled trials (RCTs) quasi-randomised including cluster clinical (CCTs), before after studies (CBAs), which are with (aged up 12 years). Studies also had meet criteria family-centredness methodological quality. In order degree family-centredness, utilised modified rating scale based validated instrument. Data collection analysis Two authors undertook searches, three independently assessed trial quality extracted data. We contacted study additional information. Main results No met inclusion criteria, hence no analysis could undertaken. Five came close inclusion. Three these were excluded primarily because inadequate unclear blinding outcome assessment, while one age group outside parameters review. Of other identified through search, 13 some reports qualitative research reviewed elsewhere. Authors' conclusions This highlighted dearth high quantitative about care. A much more stringent use as delivery families services needed.
