摘要: Studies of Niemann–Pick C (NPC) and Tangier diseases have led to the identification causative genes, NPC1 ABCA1, respectively. Characterization their protein products shows that ABCA1 are permeases belong two different superfamilies efflux pumps, which might be important in subcellular lipid cholesterol transport.
