摘要: There have been only a few published reports on the dental-facial effects of radiation therapy and subsequent oral management these patients. A case involving 13-year-old black male patient with history rhabdomyosarcoma is presented. The received 4,050 rads to right middle ear when he was 2 years age. His residual medical dental difficulties are apparently complications from initial therapy. Examination cavity revealed bimaxillary micrognathia marked loss vertical dimension. Class II facial profile I molar relationship observed. mandible thin hypoplastic, small knife-edge alveolar ridge. remaining eighteen erupted permanent teeth were very mobile, root development had ceased after formation. All except first molars extracted, immediate partial dentures inserted at time surgery. discussion therapeutic considerations follows report.
