摘要: Reproduction in bats from the temperate zones differs general mammalian pattern with regard to long-term sperm storage. In contrast other mammals, female store viable spermatozoa autumn copulations through hibernation into spring when fertilization occurs. Males, however, are also capable of storing viably their cauda epididymides after they have undergone spermatogenesis summer months. This could free them precisely coupling spermatogenic timing cycle. Furthermore, it enables inseminate females throughout winter during periodic arousals and spring. this comparative study four sympatric species at one site Central Europe, we tested for interspecific differences onset length mating period. Species-specific periods can be best explained by availability receptive since males match closely reproductive The close sequence male readiness indicates a advantage early hibernating bats, as opposed last precedence most mammals. Thus, observed marked reproduction between these hypothesis that results solely climate food availability.
