摘要: The study was conducted at the Aquaculture Research and Development Centre Akosombo in Ghana to observe growth economic performance of fingerlings of Oreochromis niloticus fed on diets prepared using different agro-industrial by-products. Four isonitrogenous (30% CP) isoenergetic (GE 18 MJ/kg) diets were formulated: Wheat bran (WB) (Diet 1); Pito mash (PM) 2); Rice (RB) (diet 3); groundnut (GB) 4). They fed of O. niloticus of average weight 7.0 ± 0.23 g stocked 20 fish m-3 in out-door hapas for a period 24 weeks. The revealed that fish which on Diet 1 grew significantly (P < 0.05) faster than those on other diets. Fish was least on Diet 4. incidence cost (IC) highest fed Diet 4 lowest fed Diet 2. profit index fed diet 2 lowest (P fed Diet 2. O. niloticus fingerlings WB based diet produced fastest while fingerlings PM based diet was most cost-effective diet.   Key words: Growth, economic, performance, fingerlings, Oreochromis niloticus, non conventional feeds, Ghana.
