摘要: Fagus grandifolia subsp. mexicana is a species restricted to small populations under high anthropogenic pressure. With the aim attain information propose conservation strategies of this species, seed rain and demography current-year seedlings were analyzed at La Mojonera, Hidalgo, Mexico. A 4 800 m 2 plot divided into 10 X quadrants was established. The rain, seedling emergence, survival using traps 0.5 adjacent 1 sub-plots. total 521 667 seeds ha -1 . proportion unsound (46.01%), followed by damaged (29.5%) only 24.44% sound. Emerged fl uctuated from 33 After months, 2.8% emerged alive. Seedlings that fi rst showed higher probability. Important mortality causes herbivory (34.44%), damping-off (24.07%) unknown (23.65%). This presents general pattern tree in survival, showing rate during year.
