摘要: GANGLIOSIDES are a class of complex glycolipids characterised by their content N-acetyl neuraminic acid. They present in many tissues, but found highest concentration those the nervous system. At one time they were thought to be characteristic neurone, analysis cell fractions from number species indicates that glia and myelin as well neuronal elements1,2. The investigation subcellular suggests most ganglioside is located plasma membrane functional significance still uncertain. We have investigated effect anti-ganglioside serum on suspensions cerebellar cells immature rats. Trypan blue exclusion 51Cr release methods used indicators cytotoxic activity. results indicate at outer surface 60–80%of cells. remainder do not seem exhibit reactive hapten upon surface. experiments also demonstrate value complement mediated cytotoxicity method studying lipid haptens
