摘要: PURPOSE To explore the potential association between renal mass characteristics and a history of chemotherapy. MATERIALS AND METHODS A retrospective review records patients surgically treated for localized 2000 2012 was undertaken following an institutional board approval. Patients age sex, clinical (radiological size mode presentation) pathological (diagnosis, cell carcinoma subtype, Fuhrman grade stage) were compared with without chemotherapy, using Fisher's exact test, Student's t-test Wilcoxon rank sum test. multivariate logistic analysis performed to evaluate independent chemotherapy tumor pathology. RESULTS Of 1,038 eligible patients, 33 (3%) had The distribution stage, diagnosis, grade, sex median similar general population group. However, latter higher rate incidental presentation (P = 0.003) significantly smaller radiological 0.01). In subset T1a carcinoma, group presented increased high 0.03). On adjusted size, cohort 3.92 odds grade. CONCLUSION typically present masses that, if malignant, have harboring thus may not be suitable active surveillance.
