Enhanced insect resistance to bollworm ( Helicoverpa armigera ) in cotton containing a synthetic cry1Ab gene

摘要: In order to investigate stability of the cry1Ab gene and resistance in T 1 generation transgenic cotton ( Gossypium hirsutum var. Coker 100), seeds were analyzed by PCR, Southern Western blotting bioassayed. Seed samples from lines (T0) along with non-transgenic s as control used. PCR analysis showed presence 63 out 150 plants. Integration into genome plants was confirmed blotting. immunoblot revealed a band MW 67 kDa using anti- Cry1Ab-polyclonal antiserum. Bioassay tests indicated that Cry1Ab protein active larvae died first days. Significant differences observed mortality rate, growth rate extent damage on leaves between The average line 17 100%, comparison control. These results relative advantage 17, which carries one copy other lines.
