Partial Foetal Retention Following Aglepristone Treatment in a Bitch

摘要: This short communication describes the case of partial foetal retention in an 18-month-old female French bulldog following induction abortion owing to undesired mating. Abortion was induced with aglepristone administered two consecutive protocols a dual injection 1 day apart. After failure first treatment achieve abortion, 15 days later, second administered. Delivering aborted foetus occurred 2 after last administration. Five weeks showed weak haemorrhagic vaginal discharge. On ultrasound examination, presence uterine wall distension as well puppy skull inside uterus observed. clinical makes clear that although is very reliable drug, follow-up during and immediate post-partum necessary ensure good outcome.
