摘要: We have designed and implemented an intelligent database assistant to aid the user in formulating a query. The system, named RABBIT, relies upon new paradigm for retrieval, retrieval by reformulation, based on psychological theory of human remembering. To make query, interactively constructs description his target item(s) criticizing successive example (and counterexample) instances. One key innovations RABBIT is that instances from are presented well-defined perspective inferred user's query structure knowledge base. Among other things, this constructed prevents creating semantically improper descriptions. particularily facilitates users who approach with only vague idea what it they want thus, need be guided (re)formulation their queries. also substantial value casual limited given or must deal multitude databases.
