Methylene Blue-Grafted Polyurethane Foam Using as a Chelating Resin for Preconcentration and Separation of Cadmium(II), Mercury(II), and Silver(I) from Waste Water

摘要: Abstract Methylene blue (Me. B), 3,7-Bisdimethylamino-phenothiazine-5-chloride, is called basic dye, one of the dyestuff that has found considerable application in extraction anions and anionic complexes. The synthesis methylene grafted foam performed by coupling between polyether (polyols), toluene diisocyanate (TDI). Ion association complexes are formed Me. B-grafted cadmium(II), silver(I), mercury(II) thiocyanate Me.B-grafted used for preconcentration Cd(II), Hg(II), Ag(I) from waste water. Various conditions (pH, shaking time, maximum capacities, chromatographic behavior) studied. Cd(II) separated at pH 1–4, while Hg(II) 1–2. Generally equilibrium obtained within a period 15 to 20 min.
