Reversible phase transition between metastable structures of Si(111)c2×8 and 1×1 studied by high-temperature STM

摘要: Abstract We studied metastable reconstructions on quenched Si(111) surfaces by using high-temperature STM. It was found that the c2×8 is most stable in of 2×2, c2×4, and 3 × surface. The reversible phase transition between 1×1 structures at about 230°C surface, which similar to Ge(111) around 300°C.
