Evaluation of serum arginase activity in benign prostatic hypertrophy and prostatic cancer.

摘要: Activities of arginase, prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP) and prostate specific antigen (PSA) were determined in sera healthy male controls, benign hypertrophy (BPH) cancer patients. Serum arginase activity the group (22.8±11.6 U/l) was significantly lower than both control (33.64±16.19 BPH (58.8±11.6 (p<0.001, respectively), while had higher levels compared to controls (p<0.05). However, serum all groups no statistically significant correlation with PAP PSA. correlated inversely Gleason grades. These results suggest that assay may be used for pretreatment evaluation patients diseases.
