Optimization of Compton-suppression and summing schemes for the TIGRESS HPGe detector array

摘要: Methods of optimizing the performance an array Compton-suppressed, segmented HPGe clover detectors have been developed which rely on physical position sensitivity both crystals and Compton-suppression shields. These relatively simple analysis procedures promise to improve precision experiments with TRIUMF-ISAC Gamma-Ray Escape-Suppressed Spectrometer (TIGRESS). Suppression schemes will efficiency peak-to-total ratio TIGRESS for high γ-ray multiplicity events by taking advantage 20-fold segmentation shields, while use different summing results a wide range experimental conditions. The benefits these methods are compared many energies multiplicities using GEANT4 simulation, optimal configuration under each set conditions is determined.
