摘要: Abstract Undergraduate midwifery programs across Australia have embedded simulation into their curriculum although there is limited but emerging evidence to support the use of as an effective teaching strategy. The purpose this study was evaluate impact that a simulated learning activity (insertion and management neonatal nasogastric tube), had on students' knowledge, confidence skills post-simulation, completion clinical placement. A descriptive explorative undertaken in two phases. Phase 1: Midwifery students (n = 60) completed purpose-designed questionnaire assess skills, pre post simulation. 2: Students (n = 46) repeated reassess after nursery findings demonstrate strategy undergraduate program. Students' increased significantly post-simulation (p0.001). further increase these areas noted post-placement. Key aspects contributed student included; demonstrators’ level expertise currency practice, well role assumes activity.
