摘要: Summary Background Simulation provides opportunities for midwifery students to enhance their performance in emergency situations. Neonatal resuscitation is one such and its management a major concern students. Objectives This project aimed develop evaluate simulation exercise, neonatal resuscitation, 3rd year Design A quantitative survey design was employed using questions from two previously validated questionnaires: (1.) Student Satisfaction Self-Confidence Learning (2.) the Clinical Teamwork Scale (CTS). Setting Australian university. Participants 40 final were invited participate 36 agreed take part project. Results In pre-simulation questionnaires, reported low levels of confidence initiating care an infant requiring resuscitation. Most anticipated that exercise would be useful better prepare them respond emergency. Post-simulation questionnaires increase student confidence, with 30 agreeing/ strongly agreeing had improved. Nonetheless, unexpected number lack familiarity equipment. Conclusions The single evaluated this resulted improved greater knowledge skills However, deficits handling equipment, understanding role midwife/midwife also noted. For future, development evaluation programme exercises, over longer period, warranted. approach may reduce stress address learning needs.
