摘要: Abstract Living organisms are continuously exposed to reactive oxygen species (ROS) during their lifespan. Small amounts of ROS can act as signal transduction molecules. However, excess cause oxidative stress resulting in multiple adverse effects such protein and lipid oxidation well DNA damage. Cells have developed an antioxidant defense system maintain the balance between production scavenging, but imbalance often occurs leading ROS. In this review, we summarized cellular redox reactions detection based assays that used measure reflect real case scenario potential compounds interest. Multiple evaluate levels activity were also reviewed. These studies lead better understanding homeostasis identification more natural products benefit human health.
