摘要: Play behavior, nonsocial exploratory activity, and nonplay social interaction were observed in male juvenile Lewis rats with brain developmental injury following neonatal infection Borna disease virus (BDV). These behaviors tested using the 'intruder-resident' paradigm, isolation of residents for six days prior to testing. Four experimental pairings infected (BDV) uninfected (NL) studied as follows: NL-NL; NL BDV; BDV NL; BDV-BDV (the first member is resident, second intruder). Observation activities was carried out 10 min on two consecutive days. Nonsocial activity (e.g. ambulation rearing) similar residents. Duration investigation sniffing, approach, follow) higher compared when test day. On day, all showed level interaction. When confronted intruders, exhibited significantly more play behavior NL-BDV, pairs, measured by number 'pins'. Moreover, irrespective a type intruder, demonstrated soliciting than residents, indicating attenuated readiness BDV-infected rats. The pins solicitations BDV-NL pairs increased over testing, while NL-BDV declined This pattern suggests that degree reinforcement day testing affected data demonstrate deficits other interactions BDV-associated injury, thus supporting value neonatally rat an animal model autism.
