摘要: In response to a governmental initiative associated with expanding the technological infrastructure of its economy, Canadian province Alberta undertook extensive revision secondary school science programme, starting in 1986. This paper is about junior high programme (Grades 7‐9, ages 12‐15). The subject matter configuration was changed from ‘layer‐cake’ design ‘coordinated’ design. objectives were broadened include three mandated curriculum emphases, distributed evenly across 18 units three‐year programme. examines these and other features development implementation this reasonably successful policy.
