摘要: Spirulina platensis is one of the most potential microalgae explored for antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancerous properties. However, its antibiofilm has not been studied. Biofilms are significant interest as they confer resistance towards antimicrobials host immunity both in diverse group bacteria. Exploring biofilm would give an easy way treatment against bacterial pathogens. In this milieu, potentials organic extracts prepared from S. was revealed. The results clearly showed that methanolic extract at a concentration 100 ng mL−1 efficiently inhibited biofilms Vibrio parahaemolyticus (ATCC17802), Chromobacterium violaceum (ATCC 12742) alginolyticus (ATCC17749) about 90, 89 88 % respectively. Significant reduction cell surface hydrophobicity documented Aeromonas hydrophila (MTCC1739), Escherichia coli (MTCC 739) Staphylococcus aureus 96 2940). Besides inhibition extracellular polymeric substances A. (MTCC1739) (MTCC2940) 71 availability nutritious food makes it foremost contender biofilm. present study reveals broad spectrum Gram Positive Negative effectively Vibro spp., major menace aquaculture industries. Further characterization purification active compounds could be remedy forming
