摘要: The knowledge of the organization normal tissues and changes occurring during physiological or pathological processes is basic to interpret relationship between structure function. There are numerous microscopic studies focused on different cephalopod organs that based use high-resolution methods as transmission electron microscopy. However, there no comprehensive histological guide in common species cephalopods. To fill this gap, we present a careful description Through 35 plates including 225 photomicrographs accompanying text descriptions, chapter covers body systems three European coleoid cephalopods, cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis), squid (Loligo vulgaris) octopus (Octopus vulgaris). histology presented parallel, emphasizing those significant between-species differences. Sections used for study were mostly stained with hematoxylin–eosin (H&E), standard light microscopy method widely accessible most laboratories pathology. Some sections Masson’s trichrome periodic acid–Schiff (PAS) methods.
