Physical-chemical and biomethanization treatments of wastewater from biodiesel manufacturing.

摘要: The mesophilic anaerobic digestion of wastewater derived from biodiesel manufacturing, in which total chemical oxygen demand (COD total) was found to be 428 g/L, studied at laboratory scale. Firstly, acidified recover its free fatty acid content. resulting aqueous phase then neutralized and subjected coagulation-flocculation electrocoagulation demulsify the remnant organic matter. A 45% 63% reduction overall COD observed with acidification-electrocoagulation acidification-coagulation-flocculation pre-treatments, respectively. However, biodegradability acidified-electrocoagulated highest (98% COD), while methane yield coefficient reached a mean value 297 mL CH(4)/g removed (1 atm, 0°C). Moreover, allowed loading rate production were considerably higher for wastewater. Consequently, combination might good alternative efficiently purify manufacturing.
