摘要: Priming of sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris L.) seeds induces increased solubilization the basic B-subunit 11-S globulin (a major seed storage protein in sugarbeet). Using a sensitive single-seed ELISA, soluble and total contents individual untreated primed were measured. With seeds, there was 160-fold range content among seeds. The also exhibited large variations their content, yet only over five-fold range. Furthermore, frequency distributions markedly different for populations; population substantially higher median than that population. In marked contrast, as expected from results with pooled samples, superimposed when comparing populations.
