摘要: A characteristic type of hyphal multiple branching (T-branching) and cavity formation by the basidiomycete fungus Oudemansiella mucida in secondary walls pine wood is described. Hyphal reminiscent that caused soft-rot fungi (ascomycetes imperfecti), but differs penetration hyphae tend to branch repeatedly cell wall alignment with cellulose microfibrillar axis fibres not consistent. Repeated within may aid a more effective distribution wood-degrading enzymes, therefore degradation lignified substrates this ligninolytic fungus.
