摘要: This study investigated the effects of an antimicrobial peptide (AMP), cLF36, on growth performance and histophysiological changes intestine in E. coli-challenged broiler chickens. A total number 360 day old male chicks were randomly assigned to 4 groups 6 replicates as follows: T1) negative control diet based corn-soybean meal without coli challenge additives; T2) positive challenged with any T3) supplemented 20 mg AMP (cLF36)/kg diet; T4) 45 mg antibiotic (bacitracin methylene disalicylate)/kg diet. Results showed that T3 improved jejunal morphology chickens similar those T4. While non-selectively decreased population ileal bacteria, increased Lactobacillus spp. harmful bacteria ileum Supplementing gene expression immune cells upregulated tight junction proteins compared other groups. In conclusion, although cLF36 beneficially affected intestinal group, this drastically microbiome, cells, junctional birds, can be nominated alternative for promoter antibiotics.
