Components of Science Teachers’ Professional Competence and Their Orientational Frameworks when Dealing with Uncertain Evidence in Science Teaching

摘要: The generation of reliable and certain evidence is among the central objectives natural sciences. However, in real-world scientific research, dealing with uncertainty often a necessary part establishment knowledge. Therefore, science teaching has to take into consideration fact that not only reliable: Whenever still making, may be temporarily uncertain, varying, fragile. This study reconstructs aspects teachers’ professional competence as well their orientational frameworks when uncertain teaching. Semi-structured interviews video vignettes used interview stimuli were conducted 26 teachers. carefully designed validated order illustrate situations which unexpectedly arises during generated data analyzed based on documentary method qualitative analysis. Results indicate teachers employ variety strategies for evidence. Furthermore, our results point connections between instructional beliefs about own students’ roles.
