摘要: Frailty is a well known and accepted term to clinicians working with older people. The study aim was determine whether an intervention could reduce frailty improve mobility. We conducted single center, randomized, controlled trial among people who were frail in Sydney, Australia. One group received targeting the identified characteristics of frailty, whereas comparison usual health care support services. Outcomes assessed by raters masked treatment allocation at 3 12 months after entry. primary outcomes as Cardiovascular Health Study criteria, mobility Short Physical Performance Battery. Secondary outcome measures included disability, depressive symptoms health-related quality life. A total 216 participants (90%) completed study. Overall, 68% women mean age 83.3 years (standard deviation, 5.9).
