摘要: This paper reviews three areas of the author's research. The first area concerns development technologies to release macromolecules continuously from solid polymers. By embedding protein (or other macromolecule) powders at correct concentration in hydrophobic polymers, prolonged for over 100 days can be achieved. second involves synthesis new biodegradable polymers specifically designed drug delivery. A novel family polyanhydrides, now being explored a number medical applications is examined. use these deliver chemotherapeutic agents locally may provide approach treat brain cancer. final research topic tissue engineering. placing mammalian cells on polymer scaffolds, variety tissues have been created animal models. Cartilage discussed as model tissue.
