Toxicity of Purified Botulinal Toxin Fed to Mice

摘要: SummaryPurified botulinal toxin types A, B, E, and F (α preparations of mol wt 150,000 — 165,000) were fed to mice their intragastric (ig) LD50 calculated in terms ip units. Similar data obtained with the α-β complex corresponding types. The number doses an ig α ranged from nearly equal about 15 times greater than same type. These results suggest that form toxins should have only slightly lower toxicity when they are ingested by man.
