Acerola and cashew apple as sources of antioxidants and dietary fibre

摘要: Several tropical fruits have been described as natural sources of dietary fibre (DF) and phenolic compounds, associated with different health effects. The aim this work was to ascertain the DF, compounds content (including non-extractable polyphenols, mostly DF) antioxidant capacity in acerola cashew apples from selected clones. 'BRS 236' presented a high because combination both extractable polyphenols L -ascorbic acid (providing together Folin value 170 kg -1 g d.m.). 'CCP 76' contained 28 d.m. 13 ascorbic well amount condensed tannins (52 DF 260 fruit 209 apple. Acerola apple should therefore be considered new compounds.
