摘要: Brain tumors are some of the most lethal adult cancers and there is a concern that incidence increasing. It has been suggested reported increased can be explained by improvements in diagnostic procedures, although this not totally resolved. The aim our study was to describe trends primary intracerebral four Nordic countries during period with introduction new procedures increasing prevalence mobile phone users. Information about benign malignant tumor cases 20–79 years age obtained from national cancer registries Denmark, Finland, Norway Sweden for 1969–98 estimates person-years at risk were calculated information population registries. Annual standardized rates per 100,000 time analyses carried out using Poisson regression. overall all ranged 8.4–11.8 men 5.8–9.3 women, corresponding an average annual increase 0.6% (95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.4, 0.7) 0.9% women CI 0.7, 1.0). confined late 1970s early 1980s coinciding improved methods. This largely oldest group. After 1983 users, remained relatively stable both women. © 2003 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
