摘要: A bottom-up approach to nanofabricate metallic glasses from metal clusters as building blocks is presented. Considering a subclass of cluster-assembled materials, the relation between two lively fields and pointed out. Deposition selected or collections them, generated by state-of-the-art cluster beam sources, could lead production well-defined amorphous material. In contrast rapidly quenched where only composition glass can be controlled, in glasses, one precisely control structural blocks. Comparing properties with similar compositions but differing therefore different structure will facilitate study structure–property correlation glasses. This method provides novel alternative path synthesis glassy alloys contribute improving fundamental understanding field It may even permit materials for that cannot enough circumvent crystallization. Additionally, gaining deeper insight into parameters governing have great impact on design other materials.
